By this point, I had completed placing the flagstone that bordered the
creekbed and the path from the tree to the gate.
Immediately in front of the concrete front, there's a signficant slope
so Jasmine suggested a way to do a terrace without doing major
construction. A trench, equal to the thickness of the
flagstone was dug and then the flagstone was inserted into the trench
on it's edge, and then backfilled. I wanted to do more research
on native plants (light/water needs, pollinators) but I wanted to get
something in the ground so I planted wildflower
seeds
in the terraces and in the corner.
